Log and Timber Frame Home Show
Coming to the Roanoke Civic Center

Experience the Warmth and Natural Beauty of Log Home Living

The Log and Timber Frame Home Show, Feb. 11–13, 2011 at the Roanoke Civic Center, showcases log home and timber frame displays and the eye-popping, energy-efficient designs and fine craftsmanship that make log and timber frame homes a fast-growing segment of the custom-home market.

“People who love the outdoors love the warmth and natural beauty of log and timber frame homes,” show director Paul Patterson says. “At least 20,000 new ones are sold every year, both as primary residences and as vacation or retirement homes. Ranging from traditional cabins to large, ultra-modern homes with stylish extras and technological conveniences, their appeal reaches all ages and income levels.”

The Roanoke Log and Timber Frame Home Show features educational seminars, live demonstrations, and exhibitors of many home styles and accessories, “Show-goers can conveniently meet face to face with the industry experts and compare log home and timber framing styles and familiarize themselves with many companies and hundreds of floor plans under one roof, instead of having to travel around to see them,” Patterson adds. “Owners of these homes all stress the importance of doing your homework before you start the process. This is a great opportunity to do a lot of research all at once.”

Whether considering a new home or adding distinctive touches to an existing one, log and timber frame home enthusiasts can collect decorating and design ideas from the industry's leading companies at the Roanoke show. Each of its three days includes seminars on log and timber frame construction as well as exhibits covering residential/recreational investment properties, log home communities, one-of-a-kind handcrafted log furniture, furnishings and light fixtures, decorating and remodeling, kitchen and bath ideas, financing, alternative energy, landscaping and much more. Attendees can also enter to win a weekend getaway on Smith Mountain Lake courtesy of Bernard’s Landing, and other great prizes.

The Log and Timber Frame Home Show opens in the Roanoke Civic Center on Friday, Feb. 11, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and continues Saturday, Feb. 12, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 13, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets, good for all exhibits and seminars for all three days, are $12 (free for children under 18 with an adult).
