Log Home and Timber Frame Show
Coming to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
Experience the Warmth and Natural Beauty of Log Home Living
The Log Home and Timber Frame Show, Oct. 19–22 at the Grand Resort Hotel and Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, TN, will showcase the energy-efficient designs and fine craftsmanship that make log and timber frame homes a rapidly growing segment of the custom-home market.
“People who love the outdoors love the warmth and natural beauty of log and timber frame homes,” show director Ed Erickson says. “At least 20,000 new ones are sold every year, both as primary residences and as vacation or retirement homes. They range from small and traditional to large and ultra-modern, with stylish extras and technological conveniences. Their appeal reaches all ages and income levels.”
The Pigeon Forge Log Home and Timber Frame Show features 28 hours of free educational seminars, exhibitors with many home-building styles and hundreds of floor plans. “Show-goers can conveniently compare log home and timber framing styles and familiarize themselves with many companies under one roof, instead of having to travel around to meet them,” Erickson says. “Owners of these homes all stress the importance of doing your homework before you start. This is a great opportunity to do a lot of research all at once.”
Whether considering a new home, or adding distinctive touches to existing ones, log and timber frame home enthusiasts can collect decorating and design ideas from the industry’s leading companies at the Pigeon Forge show. Each of its four days includes free educational seminars on buying, building, maintaining, and financing log and timber frame homes as well as exhibits on residential/recreational real estate, log home communities, handcrafted log furniture, fine art and antiques, kitchen and bath remodeling, financing, alternative energy ideas, landscaping, waterfalls, and ponds. Attendees can also enter to win a weekend getaway at the Smoky Mountain Ridge log cabin community, a patio set from Rocky Top Furniture, and other prizes.
